Spondee is an EP of tunes I've been working on in some form or another for the past few years that I've never had an opportunity to release in any "official" capacity.

Some info about the music:

Blueprint and Epilogical were both movements from a string quartet that I wrote in 2015. I've never had the chance to do a nice studio recording of the quartet arrangement, so I made these electronic re-imaginings instead.

Scajaquada is a piece I originally wrote for my jazz quintet Toxic Thunder, which I later featured in my musical Dead Serious. There are live recordings floating around somewhere, but this is the first time I've sat down and made a studio arrangement.

Dactyl started off as a solo piano piece that I would improvise over when I was drunk at parties and found a random piano.

Lyle's Lighthouse contains a mishmash of ideas that didn't fit into my saxophone / piano duet Dry Heat. It's inspired by the years and years of collaborations between Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.

Pale Strands is an excerpt from a score that I wrote for a short film that never ended up getting used. I still like it and somehow kept the rights, so here it is.
